bOing! International Family Festival showcases the world’s best performances for families and in 2016 we established a delegate programme, positioning bOing! as a platform to discover new work for young audiences, to meet artists, to see and discuss work and to take part in international debate and discussion.
This year we invite delgates to experience work for all ages from UK, Norway, The Netherlands and Finland, and a new commission from Andy Manley for 3-5 years called A Little Wilder.
The Saturday evening will feature a discussion called ‘Childs Play?’ with an international panel of practitioners, academics and public to consider work for early years. The panel will be chaired by Liz Moran (Director of Arts and Culture, University of Kent) who will be joined by Tim Webb (Oily Cart), Andy Manley (award-winning theatre director and artist), Erika Nurmsoo (Child Psychology Dept, University of Kent), Paulo Lameiro (founder and Artistic Director of Musicalmente), Shona Reppe (theatre maker/artist), and Rhona Matheson (Chief Executive, Starcatchers).
