Music for Change have created a brilliant line up for our Global Sounds stage from 10am – 3pm.
GTown Talents will be taking to the Global Sounds Stage from 3-5pm each day.

Saturday 28 August:
10am – 10.45am – Simo Lagnawi
Simo has made it his mission to expose the sound of gnawa music in the UK and beyond with a range of African and other musicians combing their different traditions with his to create a new branch of gnawa music.

11.20am – 12.05pm – Beeja (Performance & Dance Workshop)
Beeja are an Indian dance company that works as a collective and its methods draw on the skills of its members — bharatanatyam and other Indian classical dance forms; bollywood; Indian folk

12.35pm – 1.20pm – Sarabanda
Cuban son and vibrant salsa with a serious groove

1.50pm – 2.35pm – Kasai Masai
Kasai Masai successfully marry a respect for vintage grooves with an overwhelming urge to move the dance floor this is the sound of the old and new, of the countryside and the city, from deep in the heart of Africa

3pm – 5pm GTown Talents featuring:

DJ Raker, Marvo & KayB, Fidget Rhymes, Yemzo, T Stackz, Cage Nation/Soulfly, DDR, and Ten Dixon & John E Clayface.

 

Sunday 29 August:

10am – 10.45am – Brendan Power
One of the most versatile and creative harmonica players around today, in addition to his Blues and Jazz skills he is an expert player of Irish traditional music.

11.20am – 12.05pm – U’Zambezi (Performance & Dance Workshop)
U’Zambezi Arts are a U.K. based multi- disciplinary arts ensemble that specialises in songs, drumming and dances from Southern Africa.

12.35pm – 1.20pm – Kinetika Bloco
The Kinetika Bloco is a performance group with an exuberant mix of young brass and woodwind players, drummers, steel pan and dynamic dancers all in costume creating a “unique new British Carnival sound with a decidedly London edge” (BBC Radio2)

1.50pm – 2.35pm – Attab Haddad
Oud player, composer and producer ‘..A Virtuoso..’ Neil Spencer, The Guardian

3pm – 5pm GTown Talents featuring:
Eekaye, Wolf and friend, Johnny Flames, Koala & Friends, Sapphire Flames, Wavy J & Bobby Sativa, Shojun, Nells, Bando and friends.
