A waterbed will serve as your horizontal support while a horizontal screen hoovers over your body. You will be in control of the audio and visuals of this installation using your hands and body. The artwork features a library of nature sounds and video material consisting of water reflections and surfaces, and other flows.
Notes on Access:
- The waterbed can be difficult to get in and out of for those with reduced mobility. If you require assistance, please make sure you bring someone along with you who you trust to help you get in and out of the waterbed.
- This installation serves as case study to research how people of all ages perceive immersive interactive experiences while lying horizontally rather than by standing or sitting down.
- When booking, you agree to participate in this research by completing a short questionnaire, a short interview, and to your interaction data being captured and to be filmed and audio recorded in the space.
Notes on this event:
- This is a free event but will need to be pre-booked. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all time.
- Please book one ticket per child or adult.
- Example: one adult book a 15 minute slot; or one adult that wants to accompany two children, book two slots (30 minutes).
- During booking you’ll be asked to confirm you will participate in the research data collection associated with the project and to arrive 10 minutes before your slot.
