City Sound Project are coming to bOing! following their hugely successful live music festivals in the city centre. They’ll be taking over the music stage with an exciting programme of live bands, artists and DJ’s perfect for a summer’s afternoon!

Sat 23 Aug

11.20 – 12.10pm – Abi Nash (solo)

Abi Nash describes herself as an event singer with over 15 years of experience gigging across London, Surrey, and Kent. Her repertoire includes Country, Motown, and Soul—“tunes to make your heart sing”

12.20pm – 1pm – Skies (duo)

Skies is a duo formed by Alie Albury (vocals/lyrics) and Jericho Tozer (music/instrumentals), hailing from Folkestone, Kent.

They blend elements of alternative rock, synth rock, indie, synth‑pop, and electronic influences, creating a dramatic and emotive sound.

1.15pm – 2pm – Samuel Ashton

Samuel Ashton has been described as “Deliciously Soulful” by BBC’s Leo Ulph. Other praise includes “Your New Soul Serenader” (AnR Factory) and “That Voice is just Pure Soul” (Deal Radio)

He’s based in Canterbury, UK, where he crafts a blend of blues, folk, soul, and Americana.

11.15am 0 12.10pm – Xanthia (solo)

Solo singer, songwriter and session singer.
1.10pm – 1.55pm – Sam Brothers (solo)

Sam Brothers hails from Margate, Kent. A gifted folksinger and songwriter, he channels the spirit of the 1960s Soho and Greenwich Village folk scenes through his musi – imagine bluesy guitar, stomping beatboxes, harmonica flourishes, and deeply emotive storytelling.

2.10pm – 2.55pm – Fat Brass (five piece)

Jazz/hip-hop brasstronica outfit from London. Their signature sound fuses punchy horn sections, live drums, rap, and turntablism for an unforgettable, high‑octane experience.

Fun fact: Their debut album was recorded at the University of Kent’s Foundry Studios and released on the university’s label in 2017.
